AISCRIS has decided to promote, through specific institutional paths, all forms of finance alternative to the one provided by the traditional banking system, also aiming at the creation of new professionalism for the promotion and growth of innovative enterprises.
This choice was based on ‘consolidated’ start-up investment processes (venture capital and private equity) and was extended to equity crowdfunding. This particular kind of investment is characterised by the opportunity, for entities authorised by Consob, to raise capital from external investors in exchange for the offer of equity capital tools (e.g. shares of S.r.l. or shares of S.p.a.) issued by certain types of companies (currently only innovative start-ups with technological or social content).
AISCRIS shared the topic as a central moment of the thematic planning and in 2014 was included by the European Commission as sole Italian trade association of national nature, within the group of experts (ECSF), a board dedicated to the definition of policies concerning the topic in the coming years.
At the European Commission board, AISCRIS was represented by Tommaso D’Onofrio, CEO of Action Crowd and former President of the European Equity Crowdfunding Platforms Association (EECA).
